SHORT BREAKS.

We have a couple of regular long weekends, which we have been running now for a number of years.

   Elegant B&B near Narbonne

The first of these is the SENTIER GOURMAND, which takes place on the 3rd Sunday in May. The focus of the weekend is a Gourmet Wine Walk, organised by the wine-makers of La Clape (a local renowned wine area) and consists of a 6km walk through the vineyards, punctuated by safari style lunch. At each of the six stops, you enjoy the next course of a delicious meal, and are able to taste a choice of wines which have been selected to accompany the food.

The weekend starts on Friday evening with an introduction to wine-tasting then, on Saturday we usually have a vineyard visit, picnic lunch followed by a barge trip on the Canal du Midi. A visit to the fabulous food market in Narbonne on Sunday morning before heading off on the Gourmet Wine Walk in the afternoon.

Our regular autumn booking is for the RANDONNEE DES PRIMEURS on the last Saturday in October. The main event here is a cycle ride round a number of the Caves Cooperatives in the area, tasting the ‘Vin Primeur’ – the newly released vintage of the local wines. Total distance to be covered is around 80km, with 5 or 6 wine-tasting stops en route, plus a sit-down lunch in a winery with the other cyclists – all very convivial!

The current price for either weekend is 445€, including activities and visits, airport transfers (Beziers, Carcassonne or Perpignan), accommodation and food - contact us for full details and any other information at
